BEAN DRINKING SINCE TEEN: THE DAILY COFFEE DIARY

Starting your day without coffee just feels wrong? Doesn’t it? As a night owl, it doesn’t matter to me whether I wake up at 12 noon… I gotta have that coffee. Home-made coffee? Yes. Instant coffee? Uh-huh. Coffee from cafés? A big fat YES.  The only problem with going to cafés every time we want is the cost… but we love that problem, right?

Visiting Tagaytay would probably be one of the greatest adventures I’ve ever had. The weather and scenery felt ethereal and blissful so I always want to go back. The food is tasty it feels like home, but a cup of coffee will always be the main event.

If you want to experience the magical world of coffee in Tagaytay, you can visit lots of cafés there like Starbucks Hiraya with its amazing view to Ruined Project with its insta-worthy atmosphere, they will not fail you. You will always feel the warmth and joy of every sip of coffee.

The World Is Changing, Why Aren't We?

We are living in this world for years now. We witnessed its beauty and ugliness. As a person, have you ever said thanks to Mother Earth? For giving you life, for providing you a safe haven?

Our ignorance kills Earth. Day by day, actions such as man-made pollution and illegal logging takes a toll on our environment. Climate change is pervasive. It cannot be controlled. But we can lessen the damage with discipline. Let's start caring for Earth. The home that gives us life.

THERE ARE MANY WAYS TO SAVE MOTHER EARTH! BE IT'S HERO!

WHY IS HUMSS THE BEST STRAND?

While this may be subjective, I firmly believe that HUMSS is the best academic strand in Senior High School. To be honest, walking on an unknown path scared me. Picking HUMSS as my strand felt just like that. I am an introvert, but I also want to step out of my comfort zone, and then at a flick of an eye, I already love HUMSS. It helped me develop communication, critical thinking, and social skills. Learning about social issues, human behavior, history, and economics is fun. Being a beacon of hope and change is the definition of being a Humanista.

WHAT CAN YOU LEARN IN HUMSS?

Humanities and Social Sciences is an academic track in the curriculum of Senior High School. It revolves around social studies, communication, reading, writing, and critical thinking.

The Big Question is........

What can you learn in HUMSS?

HUMSS students learn how to communicate effectively, from impromptu speeches to public speaking, it enhances one's communication skills. It also teaches how to think critically. In HUMSS, we deal with a lot of philosophical questions. If you encounter questions like "What comes first? The Egg or The Chicken?" or "Was there a chair?" then you will get your answers with the help of philosophy. You will also acquire the knowledge of dealing with people as you learn about human behavior. Isn't that exciting?

(My teacher gave me feedback, she said it looked unprecedented but delivered well.)

WHY I CHOSE HUMSS (+ my life and bibliophism)

Books, Books, and Books. I live for the magic of stories and words. I am comprised of a figment through fiction. As someone who grew up loving literature, there was no doubt that I would choose Humanities and Social Sciences as my strand. I was introduced to literature by my father, it was about Greek mythology. The funny thing is he did not give me a mythological book, it was a Play Station game called God of War that opened a new world for me. Anyhow, I chose HUMSS solely for this reason. But this strand isn't just about literature. It's not just about reading and writing novels, it also deals with social issues, communication, and human behavior.
